The City of Fernie is proud to support this annual event and the many exciting events coming to town. Community classics like the Griz Parade and Fireworks, Extreme Griz Competition, Bed Race, and Dummy Downhill are all back on the schedule.

The Council of the City of Fernie will consider adopting Amendment Bylaw No. 2544, 2026, a bylaw amending Council Procedure Bylaw No. 2446 at the Regular Council Meeting held at the Fernie Senior Citizens Drop-In Centre, 562 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC V0B 1M0, on March 10, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

The City of Fernie intends to enter into a partnering agreement pursuant to s. 21 and s. 24 of the Community Charter. The agreement would provide assistance to Twin Meadows Animal Rescue Society, Inc. for the provision of services in support of municipal animal control operations from February 27, 2026, through August 27, 2028.
