Fernie on Fire is back! Wondering what to do with your Christmas Tree? Fernie Fire Rescue will once again be hosting the popular fundraiser and tree burning event on Saturday, January 6!
Beginning at 5:30 pm you can bring your tree to add to the bonfire that will be lit by the Outdoor Rink next to the Fernie Aquatic Centre.
Fernie Fire Rescue will also be picking trees up curbside January 6 in Maintown, the Annex, the Airport and Ridgemont starting at 8am (please don’t leave your tree on the curb before then.) If they aren’t scheduled to hit your neighbourhood, or you want to get rid of your tree sooner, you can drop your tree off on the trailer outside the Semi Permanent Fire Hall on Railway Avenue between January 2 and January 5.
There will be music, great raffle prizes, a BBQ, and beverages. All proceeds will go to local charities.
