  • Tree Removal James White Park
    March 30, 2017

    The public is advised that Contractors will be working on behalf of the City to remove a select number of trees in James White Park on Friday, March 31, 2017. This work is necessary as part of the James White Wells Project and will take place in the south end of James White Park near the Main Sewage Pumping Station south of Max Turyk Community Centre.

  • Disaster Assistance Funding Announced for East Kootenays
    March 29, 2017

    Emergency Management BC has just announced Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) is now available to eligible British Columbians in the Central and East Kootenay region who may have been impacted from the flooding that occurred from March 15-23, 2017.

    DFA is available to homeowners, residential tenants, small business owners, farmers, charitable organizations and local government bodies who were unable to obtain insurance to cover these disaster-related losses.
