PROJECT SUMMARY
The City of Fernie is seeking Proposals from qualified firms for the provision of financial audit services for the fiscal years 2018 to 2022. The auditor will be appointed by Fernie City Council on or before November 26, 2018. This Request for Proposal (RFP) outlines the basic requirements for annual audit services to be provided by the successful proponent, herein referred to as the Auditors or Audit Firm.
BACKGROUND
The City of Fernie has a population of approximately 5,100 people. It has approximately 127 employees and an annual operating budget of approximately $ 16 million ($28 million including capital projects for 2018). Additionally, the City collects approximately $5.1 million in taxation for other levels of government.
The audited financial statements of the City of Fernie along with the Annual Report and the Statement of Financial Information for the year ended December 31, 2017 can be obtained from the City of Fernie website www.fernie.ca
The City uses Vadim’s iCity financial software for all financial transactions. Proponents shall base their proposal on furnishing everything including all labor, materials, tools, equipment and all necessary supplies, incidentals and travel expenses required to complete the required services in full compliance with the provisions and requirements of this RFP document. Any deviation from the requirements set out in this document must be fully disclosed in the proposal.
