The City of Fernie is inviting applications for a casual employee to fill the position of Municipal Clerk I on an “on-call” basis to cover absence due to sick leave, vacation leave, or any approved absence or to augment the regular work force during peak periods. There is no guarantee of hours with this position. Under the direction of the Deputy Treasurer, the Municipal Clerk I performs a variety of duties of a general nature relating to all departments in the organization involving typing, reception, cashiering and clerical skills.
Terms of employment are as per the current collective agreement between the City of Fernie and CUPE Local 2093. This position is non-benefited, and the current hourly wage rate is $31.73.
