Description:

The City of Fernie invites qualified proponents to provide quotations for the provision of “Winter Trail Grooming and Maintenance” services for the 2021/2022 and 2022/23 winter seasons.

The project consists of trail maintenance and grooming of the City’s winter trails for the 2021/22 and 2022/23 winter seasons: Maiden Lake (950m), Mount view extension to Annex (7326m) and West Fernie (925m) and an optional Railway dogpark bypass trail (1009m needing smaller grooming equipment) as specified in Schedule “B” Dike and Pathways Snow Clearing map and in accordance with the Trail Maintenance Standards and Trail Maintenance Schedule as specified in Schedule “A” attached to this RFQ.

The successful proponent will be required and responsible to, in advance of snow clearing, arrange for removal of obstacles preventing a seamlessly maintained section of trail outlined on the Dike and pathways snow clearing map.

The acceptability of the Proponent's overall work quality and performance shall be determined by the Manager's inspection for compliance with the requirements outlined in Schedule “A” Trail Maintenance Standards and Trail Maintenance Schedule.
