The City is seeking proposals from qualified firms to implement fuel treatments to reduce hazardous fuels and fire behaviour adjacent to our community. Our goal in fuel treatments is to reduce both surface and crown land fuel loads in a manner that reduces fire hazard and fire behaviour potential and is consistent with the goals and objectives of the Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPPs). Projects will require experienced fuel treatment or harvesting contractors who can provide the equipment and expertise necessary to meet project deadlines, hire and supervise workers and can work in unconventional stands, close to public and structures, with unique fuel treatment prescriptions.
