Development Variance Permit No. 438 - 1149 Hand Avenue

Pursuant to Section 499 of the Local Government Act, public notice is hereby given that Council for the City of Fernie will consider Development Variance Permit No. 438 at the regular meeting to be held on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, City Hall, 501-3rd Avenue, Fernie BC.   

Location:  1149 Hand Avenue 
Legal Description:Parcel A (See 1673321I) of Lot 3C, Block 4, District Lot 5455, Kootenay District, Plan 1613
Purpose:  To allow for a Secondary Dwelling Unit on the subject Parcel A, Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 is varied as follows:

i. Sections 4.2.3.4.2 and 4.3.2.4:
• Minimum Parcel Area for a Single Detached Dwelling with Secondary Dwelling Unit From: 500m2 to: 418m2

All persons will be given an opportunity to be heard and to present written submissions on this matter. A copy of the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750, Development Variance Permit and other relevant documents may be viewed at City Hall, 501 - 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from March 4, 2019 to March 11, 2019 (excluding weekends and statutory holidays).
