Notice of Public Hearings November 26, 2018

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing has been scheduled for Monday, November 26, 2018 at 7:00PM in Council Chambers at Fernie City Hall, located at 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie BC so that Council may hear representations from persons who believe their interest in property is affected by a proposed amendment to Zoning Bylaw No 1750 for Bylaw No. 2354.
PURPOSE: This Bylaw proposes to amend CD1 - Comprehensive Development Zone One as follows:
- Addition of new sub-area: DR2 - Detached Residential Two
- Amend existing sub-area: LR2- Leisure Recreation Two
- Designate areas for the DR2, LR2 AND MU1 Sub Areas
Any written submissions received after 4:00PM, Monday, November 26, 2018 will not be accepted. No representation will be received by Council after the conclusion of the Public Hearing. All submissions must include your name and civic address. All submissions are public information pursuant to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Informal Hearing for Development Variance Permits
DVPA No. 423
Purpose: To vary the City of Fernie Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 1727 to change decorative street light standards for the future development of the Cedars Subdivision.
DVPA No. 424
Purpose: To vary the City of Fernie Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 1727 to change the maximum length of a cul-de-sac from 150 metres to 369.7 metres and the required width of the cul-de-sac right-of-way from 15.0 metres to 20.0 metres.
DVPA No. 426
Location: 25 Elkview Drive
Purpose: To allow the construction of a canopy roof over an existing deck at the subject property. The proposed variance to the City of Fernie Zoning Bylaw No. 1750 to allow Eave projection from 1.0 metres to 2.1 metres into the side-yard setback and the Canopy projection from 50% the distance from the building to the property line to 1.34 metres into the side-yard setback.
DVPA No. 433
Location: 112 Sparling Road
Purpose: To vary the City of Fernie Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw No. 1727, Drawing No. B-5 "Urban Local Residential Highway with Parking" to decrease the Right-of-Way (ROW) of the exisiting Sparling Road from 20.0 metres to 16.154 metres to facilitate the subdivision of the subject property.
