It's still snowing! Winter Parking Reminder!

Residents are reminded to comply with Winter Parking Regulations in accordance with Streets & Traffic Bylaw No. 1400.  The following alternate parking schedule will be enforced now to April 15, 2017:

NO PARKING permitted on the

South or East Side of the Roadways

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday

NO PARKING permitted on the

North or West Side of the Roadways

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays

 Residents are asked to please pay close attention to areas with Posted Signage.   If you have a driveway please don’t park on the street.  Any vehicles parked contrary to these regulations will be ticketed and could be towed.

 Things to remember about snow removal:

  • Never pile snow on someone else's property.
  • Never pile snow on a street or on sidewalks.
  • Never pile snow on top of any structure.
  • Never pile snow by mailboxes, dumpsters, water drains, catch basins, electrical boxes or fire hydrants.
  • Never push snow across a roadway
  • Park your vehicle in accordance with the alternate parking Winter Parking Regulationsand Posted Signage
  • Make sure any personal property (ie. trailers, RVs, large rocks, etc) are removed from boulevards to permit snow plows to push the snow into the boulevard.
  • Remind your children not to play on snow piles where they are difficult to see or tunnel in snow banks where they may collapse.

Please do your part by complying with regulations and storing snow on your property helping us keep roads clear and safe for travel.  Remember violations could result in a ticket in accordance with regulations.

Having streets free and clear of parked vehicles for snow removal makes for safe, efficient and cost-effective operations and facilitates better mobility by emergency response agencies.  Please do YOUR part!
