City of Fernie Hosts Canada 150 Celebration!

Canada is set to turn 150 on Saturday, July 1, and we are ready to celebrate with you! After months of planning, the line-up is set for what promises to be Fernie’s biggest Canada Day celebration yet.
The event will take place at the Fernie Aquatic Centre grounds and will feature a day of live music, food, games, kids activities and, of course, it will all be topped off with a big fireworks display. For anyone who has attended Canada Day celebrations in the past, you can look forward to a firework display that is a third bigger than the one last year!
The venue has lots of space to spread out a blanket and settle in for a day of fun. The splash park will be running all day if the kids need to cool down, and there will be a free swim from 2-5pm at the pool.
The City of Fernie is proud to present this great event and to showcase a whole range of Canadian talent. All of the musical acts hail from Canada, and there will be three Canada 150 Art Projects featured at the event as well.
