2017-2021 Five Year Financial Plan

Building the City’s Five Year Financial Plan is an ongoing annual process involving Council, public and administration.  To inform the priorities of the Five Year Financial Plan Council hosted an Open Forum meeting and Public Survey in November 2016.

To conclude the budget process the plan was presented to the public at the April 24, 2017 Committee of the Whole meeting.  The 2017 – 2021 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw and the 2017 Tax Rate Bylaw will be presented for adoption at the Regular Meeting of Council on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall, 501 – 3rd Avenue, Fernie, BC.

Anyone wishing to provide their comments to Council but are unavailable to attend the meeting on May 8, 2017 are encouraged to submit their comments in writing before 4:00pm May 8 by any of the following methods:

  • IN PERSON: Drop off written submissions at the reception desk, City Hall   501–3rd Avenue;
  • BY FAX: to (250) 423-3034; or
  • BY EMAIL: E-mail submissions should be sent to cityhall@fernie.ca 

Copies of the 2017 – 2021 Five Year Financial Plan Bylaw and 2017 Tax Rate Bylaw are also available in hard copy at the front desk at City Hall.
