Applications are now being accepted through the Resort Municipality Initiative (RMI) Festival & Event Development Program for limited funding available to assist community organizations with the cost of developing and hosting festivals and events. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate financial need and that the proposed festival or event will have a positive impact on the Fernie and area tourism economy.
The deadline for submission of completed application forms requesting funding for the 2016 fiscal year is Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Festival and Event applications must be received at least two weeks prior to the date of the event. A second application intake may be offered later in 2016 if funding permits.
