Construction at James White Park

The City has begun construction of the James White Well which will provide a secondary water source for the community.  Having a second water source means that during periods of high turbidity (heavy rains and rapid snowmelt) we can access the ground water from the James White Park Well to avoid periodic water quality advisories or boil water notices.  The construction plan for 2016 includes the installation of a watermain which crosses the Elk River from James White Park to the west side of Highway 3 (using trenchless drilling methods) and the installation of additional watermains within James White Park.

Due to the construction, access on the south end of James White Park is restricted.  The restriction includes park access road closure and trail closures & rerouting.  Please obey all posted signage.  Construction will continue in 2016 as long as possible dependent on weather conditions, then continue again in 2017.
