Notice to the Electors - AAP for Proposed Boundary Extension

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT under section 86 (Alternative Approval Process) of the Community Charter and section 20 of the Local Government Act, the Council of the City of Fernie (the "Council") intends to petition the Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development requesting an extension of the area of the municipality to include the area of West Fernie shown as the Proposed Boundary Extension Area.

Electors who are opposed to the Proposed West Fernie Boundary Extension are asked to complete an Elector Response Form and submit it to the City by 5:00pm (local time) on Monday, September 29, 2014.

A Town Hall meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 7:00pm at the Fernie Seniors Centre, 561-3rd Avenue, to respond to any questions or concerns electors may have.
