Description:

The City of Fernie invites applications from qualified persons for the full-time permanent position of Parks and Facilities Manager. Under the direction of the Director of Operational Services, the Parks and Facilities Manager will primarily be responsible to analyse departmental operations and identify areas requiring improvement. This position will coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and delegating work accordingly. This role will also participate in the development of policies and programs by providing advice to senior government officials. The Parks & Facilities Manager must possess the following:

  • degree or an advanced degree in parks & facilities management, a trade, or a related field
  • five years of experience in a management role and three years of experience in public administration
  • certifications or licences appropriate to the position
