Description:
The City of Fernie is seeking a talented, dedicated and experienced Operator 3 Certified to work in Wastewater Collection and Treatment. Under the general supervision of the Operations Supervisor, this position performs a variety of duties related to the collection and treatment of wastewater.
This position is responsible for maximizing the performance of the wastewater collection and treatment facilities, troubleshooting and resolving problems, performing various wastewater tests and making adjustments as appropriate, and ensuring the minimization of all safety and health risks and environmental concerns. In addition to these responsibilities this position will also operate various large and small equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid BC Driver's Licence, minimum Class 3 with air brakes endorsement and clean driver's abstract
- Level II Wastewater Treatment and Collection certification
